What kinds of NAS devices does Server Home Base cover?

Do I need to be technical to follow these guides?

Is a NAS the same as a backup?

Not on its own. A NAS with redundant drives protects you from a single disk failing, but it does not protect against accidental deletion, ransomware or theft. A proper backup keeps a second copy somewhere else, which is why the Backup and Recovery section exists.
